    ETH stepped in to help with industrial maintenance rush periods

    Your industrial maintenance partner comes to your aid for annual services and other rush periods when your own maintenance team needs momentary assistance. Turku Energia relies on ETH’s expertise in mechanical maintenance.

    Turku Energia handles the operational readiness and maintenance of its own facilities and its associated company Turun Seudun Energiantuotanto plc. As Turku Energia’s partner, ETH maintains many of the company’s mechanical systems.

    – ETH takes care of our pumps, blowers, valves, conveyors, portioning systems, as well as flue gas cleaning systems. They also perform modifications to pressure devices and steel structures. We have also ordered services on HPAC systems; for instance, our office’s cooling system was acquired through ETH, says Matti Akkanen, Head of Maintenance at Turku Energia’s production services.

    ETH and Turku Energia have known each other for years now.

    – We have been ordering services from ETH since they were founded in 2006. Their key personnel were already familiar to us from other connections, which made working with them a breeze.

    A reliable partner with a favourable price-quality ratio

    ETH’s employees are busiest at Turku Energia’s facilities during annual service. ETH has a significant role in mechanical service during these times. The company also helps with smaller tasks throughout the year, for example when a repair stoppage requires more workforce or expertise outside of Turku Energia’s own resources. Turku Energia’s own people take care of regular maintenance.

    – When our own people are not enough, it is good to have a partner as reliable as ETH. We also subcontract services from ETH for our own customers, whose operational and maintenance services we are in charge of. We and our customers have always been pleased with the cooperation. ETH has the expertise and their services have most importantly been both flexible and customer-focused.

    According to Akkanen, ETH has stood out in tenders in many respects.

    – When selecting public acquisitions, ETH’s flexibility and good price-quality ratio have stood out. Their brilliant cooperation culture and long-standing operating principles also affected our decision. Cooperation with ETH has in part enabled high-quality and cost-efficient maintenance operations. The benefits of the cooperation can also be seen in the cost-efficiency of certain investment projects.

    ETH has up-to-date industrial maintenance know-how

    Turku Energia and many other ETH’s clients have found plenty of good reasons to outsource certain maintenance tasks. One of the reasons is that maintenance tasks require constant development and refreshing of know-how.

    – We have plenty of clients, whose own teams do not deal with these duties in their daily work. Our employees work at multiple sites and are constantly developing their skills, meaning that our team can handle even the most specialized tasks, explains Eero Mäntylä, ETH’s Head of Development.

    ETH’s service agreements are always tailored for each client to include the specific maintenance services that client needs.

    – Some of our customers have wanted to outsource their entire maintenance operations, while some are looking to only outsource certain duties. Thanks to our service agreements, clients can rely on all work specified in the agreement to be completed properly and on time, promises Mäntylä.
